Round and Round we go

A girlfriend in Ballarat was telling me about how they are putting in another round about in York street that makes 5 in the one street and I had to laugh ,Paul and I counted six round abouts in the whole town of Emerald!!!

But we have something very special up here


Big intersections with NOTHING!!! No giveway or stop signs anywhere!!!!


I kid you not ,major cross roads all un marked!


Special skill is required ,one must be good at guessing what the other person is going to do which makes for fun coz they are trying to guess what your doing!!



I hate them ,they are everywhere!!!
It's worse at night with barely any street lighting you can sail right thru not realising your in a big intersection! Ballarat might have overkill on roundabouts but its better than guessing !!!

    Over here its all about 4 way stops, it just kills the car, economy and leads to a lot of driver stress. The constant stop starting as you try and drive through a town / suburbs.
    The only interesting thing about them is that there is no 'give way to the right' kind of rule, its first to stop is the first to go. So you have to pay attention to everyones wheels, and note who stops first.
